(Needless to say that music fans think of the great band The Fray when they hear the word FRAY so I guess music-minded bloggers are being called upon to give what they associate the word FRAY with, apart from the obvious thoughts of the band.)
Just a tiny comment on what I think of when the word “fray” comes into play: To me, a vision of a couple fighting comes to mind. One of them clearly caused the fray because I can hardly believe it can be caused simultaneously by two people. One person causes it by saying something highly inappropriate, the other person reacts, and presto, the fray occurs.
